Exposing RAW

1314

Destruction of Pakistan is the main objective of the Indian secret agency, RAW. It intends to wipe out Pakistan from world’s map, where it has been active for many years in Pakistan breading terrorism. Their activities in Pakistan were more intensified after Kashmiris in Sri Nager had been repeatedly hoisting Pakistani flags and chanting slogans of ‘Pakistani Zindabad’. RAW can be blamed for killing at least 85 people in recent terrorist plots. The Mastung killings on 30 May, in which 20innocent passengers were killed after kidnapping, was a RAW’s job as, disclosed by Balochistan’s Home Minister, Zarfraz Bugti. Recent terrorist activities in Karachi and Balochistan such as the attack on Ismaili citizens, killing at least 45 people, and labor camps at Turbat, killing 20 poor laborers, are cases in point.

Pakistan has got a firm stance against RAW’s activities, where at a meeting by the Corps Commander, held at the General Headquarters on May 5 , General Raheel Sharif accused RAW of supporting terrorism in Pakistan. Foreign Secretary Aizaz Ahmad Chaudhry, also pointed out that RAW is involved in various terrorist activities and the matter had been taken up a number of times with India, through diplomatic channels.

Foreign Office spokesman, Qazi Khalil Ullah stated on 21st May, that the government has urged Afghanistan not to allow its territory to be used by RAW, for any activities in Pakistan. He stated that they should not allow RAW to use its soil for creating unrest in Pakistan. The same was also disclosed by Defense Minister; Khawaja Muhammad Asif who stated on May 5th that there is no difference between the RAW and the Taliban, where RAW wanted to wipe out Pakistan from the world map. Chief Minister Sindh, Syed Qaim Ali Shah, claimed on 17th May that evidence pertaining to RAW’s involvement in terrorist activities, being carried out in the country has been found. MQM also suspected RAW for its subversive activities of ‘interfering in Balochistan, Sindh, FATA and other parts of the country to create anarchy and disturb law and order, in order to destabilize Pakistan’.

Former US Secretary of Defense, Chuck Hagel has already given testimony, about RAW’s involvement in Afghanistan to destabilize Pakistan. At the Shramul Sheikh meeting in 2009, Pakistan gave evidence to India about RAW’s involvement, where General Pervez Musharraf time and again has disclosed RAW’s subversive role in Balochistan.

Chinese authorities also disclosed that RAW intends to sabotage the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC). Now Parrikar, on May 21, publically confessed RAW’s role in terrorist attacks inside Pakistan. Will the international community and the United Nations also take notice of this confession?

Furthermore, Chinese authorities disclosed that RAW intends to use the so-called insurgents in Balochistan to attack on the CPEC and to target the Chinese workers who are engaged in projects at several levels. There are other contenders of the Gwadar Port, who could also indirectly sabotage the project at different stages.

Already over nine battalions, around 8000 security men, of the armed forces have been set up to protect the workers engaged on the CPEC. Currently, Chinese workers are engaged with 210 projects in Pakistan, to change the face of the economy of Pakistan.

Our Ministry of Interior in cooperation with agencies, needs to come out of a White Paper on RAW’s activities in Pakistan and expose them to the international community, besides taking stern measures against it.

Why is India taking such measures that at this time of the hour? It is hard for India to digest the reality of China investing over US$ 46 billion in Pakistan, where Gwadar, Lahore, and Rawalpindi-Islamabad have already been changed. A seep-sea port was completed in Gwadar in 2007. Lahore got metro transportation for local commuters last year, and this year, commuters in Rawalpindi-Islamabad got the same facility. A bullet train will run between Peshawar and Karachi, with the Karachi-Lahore motorway being initiated besides the Hazara motorway. All these projects are part of the CPEC to modernize the physical and transportation structure of Pakistan, while connecting to Kashghar.

In order to counter the CPEC, RAW has set up a new wing by allocating US$ 300 million for getting intelligence, assassinating of famous personalities, fanning proxy wars, and promoting anarchy through psychological operations in Pakistan. Sources say this is RAW’s largest mission, after creating chaos in the former East Pakistani in 1971. Pakistan and China are focal points of RAW’s subversive activities and they obtain significant information through a third country. The third source it uses against Pakistan is Afghanistan, Myanmar, Hong Kong, Singapore, and the United Kingdom.

RAW uses the soil of Afghanistan in exporting terrorism to Pakistan through a number of consulates India has set up in border areas of Afghanistan with Pakistan. Pakistan has been fully cooperating with Afghanistan to contain RAW activities and both countries have recently signed a pact in this regard. However, there is still a need for taking more measures.

On 28th May a national consensus was achieved on CPEC. However, some of the opposition parties have been wrongly expressing their concerns for it, where it would be understandable if anti-Pakistan elements propagate such feelings.

How come opposition parties in Pakistan talk against the CPEC and make the project sound controversial, where it is in fact a national project. The role of RAW and other spy agencies cannot be ruled out here and these links need to be exposed too. They must be dealt with an iron hand and a zero level tolerance. The Government needs to seriously and immediately discuss RAW’s involvement as a core issue with India, and with the international community including the United Nations.
