Human Development and Human Rights

Saira Ijaz is Associate Editor at Institute of Strategic Studies Islamabad (ISSI). Earlier she served as Assistant Editor at Islamabad Policy Research Institute (IPRI). Before joining IPRI, she worked as Editorial Assistant with the Dateline Islamabad─ an English newspaper. She has done M.Phil in Anthropology from the Quaid-i-Azam University (QAU), Islamabad. Ms. Ijaz has made presentations at international and national conferences and contributed articles to newspapers on various national issues. She has also translated research material into English. She has done sociological research work in a Cholistan community and M.Phil research on “Transformation in Political Affiliations in Pakistan (A case study of Islamabad)”. Along with editing and translation, her areas of interest in research include social issues, domestic politics, media, Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and CPEC.
