Developing enduring relations with Afghanistan

A qualitative change is taking place in the nature of Pakistan-Afghanistan relationship. After years of undermining each other, both countries have realised the folly of these dangerous policies. The military’s decision of launching a major operation in North Waziristan to establish the writ of state was the first step towards seizing not only control of territory but also of policy that will bring the two countries closer.
