India and Pakistan have decided to talk peace again, and this time it looks and sounds like there is something tangible afoot with new life breathed into the long-moribund composite dialogue. Considering the nadir that has been reached in the last year, this is a very considerable shift and credit is due to all concerned. This would not have happened had there not been some solid diplomacy going on in the background, with the teams of both countries negotiating the wiggle-room that allowed a shift of positions such that dialogue became a reality.
