Syed Kasim Masood was working as a Research Associate at the Institute of Strategic Studies Islamabad. He obtained an M.A. in History from Tufts University, USA in 2021. He also holds a B.A. (Hons.) in History from the Lahore University of Management Sciences. His research interests include Indian domestic politics, right-wing populist movements and human development in South Asia. His published graduate-level thesis is titled, “Social Justice and Development during the Age of Hindutva and Neoliberalism: The Indian Muslim Experience”. Kasim has also previously worked for the Center for South Asian and Indian Ocean Studies at Tufts University.
