The South Asian Nuclear security situation is different from that in other regions of the world. The credibility of the international nuclear non-proliferation regime is under severe scrutiny. Nuclear non-proliferation is an integrated network of treaties and other standard-setting arrangements that provide a comprehensive framework for the behaviour of states, international organisations and other actors in the nuclear power realm.
