ISLAMABAD: The Foreign Office on Friday summoned the Indian Deputy High Commissioner JP Singh twice to lodge protests over the release of Swami Aseemanand, an accused in the 2007 Samjhauta Express blasts, and the killing of a woman by the Indian Border Security Force (BSF) in ceasefire violations.

Director General (SA&SAARC) Muhammad Faisal summoned the Indian deputy high commissioner to lodge a protest against the Indian National Investigation Agency’s decision not to contest the bail granted to Swami Aseemanand on Special Leave Permission.
