ISLAMABAD: New American Ambassador to Pakistan David Hale presented his credentials to President Mamnoon Hussain in Islamabad on Thursday.
Talking to him, the president said that Pakistan is desirous of promoting friendly and cordial relations with the US. Ambassador Hale thanked President Mamnoon and said, “I am honoured to present my credentials as ambassador to the Islamic Republic of Pakistan.” He expressed his desire to work with President Mamnoon, Pakistani counterparts, and the Pakistani people to strengthen bilateral relations, increase trade and people-to-people ties, enhance security partnership, and advance the broad agenda laid out by President Obama and Prime Minister Sharif when they met in Washington on October 22.
