Roundtable discussion titled, “Pakistan’s Relations with Major Powers”

The Centre for Strategic Perspectives (CSP) at the Institute of Strategic Studies Islamabad (ISSI) in collaboration with the National Security Division (NSD) and Islamabad Policy Research Institute (IPRI) conducted a roundtable discussion titled, “Pakistan’s Relations with Major Powers” under the series of Grand National Dialogue (GND) on December 01, 2022.
The keynote speaker for the discussion was Ambassador Dr. Major General Raza Muhammad (Retd), President IPRI.
The discussion revolved around Pakistan’s relations with major global powers such as the United States, European Union, China and Russia in light of the reorientation of Pakistan’s policy highlighted in the National Security Policy. The discussion also focused on how Pakistan can balance its relations between major powers amid growing competition, internal balancing within the country, and strengthening economic & human security to formulate an efficient foreign policy. A select number of participants attended the meeting including Dr. Ilhan Niaz & Dr. Munawar Hussain and shared their views on the topic.
