Institute (INESG), Algeria signed an MOU- facilitated by CAMEA

An MoU signing took place between the Institute of Strategic Studies Islamabad (ISSI) and the National Global Strategic Institute (INESG) which was facilitated by the Centre for Afghanistan, Middle East and Africa (CAMEA). The ISSI was represented by its Director General Ambassador Aizaz Ahmad Chaudhry and INESG was represented by Director General, Mr. Abdelaziz Medjahed. The MoU signing ceremony was also attended by H.E. Brahim Romani, Ambassador of Algeria to Pakistan, H.E. Muhammad Tariq Ambassador of Pakistan to Algeria, Ambassador Khalid Mahmood, Chairman Board of Governors (BOG), ISSI and Ms Amina Khan, Director, Centre for Afghanistan, Middle East and Africa (CAMEA).

Director CAMEA, Ms. Amina Khan, while giving her introductory remarks, stated that with the signing of MoU we not only hope to further the relationship between Pakistan and Algeria, but we hope to establish institutional linkages between both sides for collaborative research and dialogue on issues of mutual interest.

Director General ISSI, Ambassador Aizaz Ahmad Chaudhry, gave a brief introduction of the Institute and extended his commendation to both Centers and hoped that this association would help produce quality research and dialogue for mutual benefit.

Director General, INESG, Mr. Abdelaziz Medjahed said that Pakistan and Algeria are very important countries in the region and friendly ties between these countries are of utmost significance. Both countries have a long-standing history of solidarity and Pakistan has always supported Algeria. He said that the entire team at INESG looks forward to a fruitful partnership with ISSI and this mutual cooperation will be beneficial for both countries.

Ambassador of Algeria to Pakistan, H.E. Brahim Romani said this MoU will help to produce diverse linkages and cooperation between the two institutions and will help to create collaboration at regional and international levels. He mentioned that this MoU will enable us to achieve better interaction and fruitful cooperation.

Ambassador of Pakistan to Algeria, H.E. Muhammad Tariq was of the view that Pakistan and Algeria are two important countries and there is a lot of potential that needs to be explored. He further said that both countries should focus on strengthening relations and should work together to enhance cooperation. Pakistan and Algeria have a lot of potential in the fields of research, and dialogue. He hoped that this MoU will lay a solid basis for future cooperation.
