UN Security Council members condemn Lahore attack

UNITED NATIONS: Members of the United Nations Security Council have condemned in the strongest terms the terrorist attack in Lahore, which resulted in the death of more than 70 people and for which an offshoot of the banned Tehreek-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) claimed responsibility.

In a statement, they offered condolences to families of the victims and to the people and government of Pakistan. They expressed hope that hundreds of people who were injured in the attack would recover quickly.
