Rwandan Minister for Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Ambassador Olivier Jean Patrick Nduhungirehe, paid an official two-day visit to Pakistan from April 21 to 22, 2025. The visit took place following an invitation extended by the Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister, Mr. Ishaq Dar, to Foreign Minister Nduhungirehe.[1] The visit marked the second high-level bilateral engagement following the establishment of resident missions in Kigali (2021) and Islamabad (2024). The first was the visit of Minister of State Hina Rabbani Khar to Kigali in 2022 to attend the 26th Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting, during which she also met with President Paul Kagame.[2]
During the visit, Foreign Minister Nduhungirehe engaged in a series of high-level meetings, strategic dialogue and the signing of key Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs). These aimed at expanding bilateral cooperation across various sectors, including trade, defence, education, and cultural exchanges, underscoring the mutual desire to deepen ties.[3]
