Arsla Jawaid joined ISS as Managing Editor

Arsla Jawaid is a Managing Editor at the Institute of Strategic Studies, Islamabad (ISSI).  Her primary interest is in issues of diplomacy and security in South Asia, particularly with reference to US-Pakistan relations. Arsla is a graduate of Boston University where she earned her Bachelor’s degree in International Relations, with a focus on Foreign Policy and Security Studies. She has previously worked as an Associate Editor at SouthAsia Magazine and at the Council on Foreign Relations in Washington, D.C. She has also served as a Research Associate for Afghanistan and Pakistan at the Harvard Kennedy School’s Carr Center for Human Rights Policy. Her work has appeared in Pakistani publications as well as in Foreign Policy, Al-Jazeera, and The Guardian, amongst others.
