“Our world is more complex today than ever before…”
With these words, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif opened one of the most significant addresses Pakistan has delivered at the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) in recent years. The address came against the backdrop of a volatile security environment around the world, raging wars in different places, unprovoked Indian aggression in South Asia, the protracted humanitarian catastrophe in Gaza, externally sponsored terrorism, hate-driven ideologies and the climate crisis.
