States in the current geopolitical competition seem to be coordinating through various pacts, investing in capabilities to ensure security and stability. To make advancements in the security domain, states are adopting various strategies, from improving their own capabilities to coordinating with other states through partnerships. India and the United States have maintained strategic relations for a long time and recently signed a 10-year defence framework agreement on October 31, 2025. to strengthen their relations and to rely on each other for defensive measures. The defence deal between India and the U.S. was agreed during Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit to Washington and his meeting with U.S. President Donald Trump at the White House in 2025. The main aim of the framework is to enhance military cooperation and regional security across the Indo-Pacific. Moreover, through the framework, defence industries of both countries cooperate more closely, giving India the edge to improve its defence system.
