Visit – Delegation of Journalists from Gilgit Press Club

China-Pakistan Study Centre (CPSC) at Institute of Strategic Studies Islamabad (ISSI) hosted a delegation of Journalists from Gilgit Press Club on January 8, 2021
Dr. Talat Shabbir , Director China-Pakistan Study Centre, warmly welcomed the delegation on their visit to ISSI and briefed them about the structure of ISSI and its contribution in enhancing China-Pakistan ties. Dr. Shabbir also highlighted the working of CPSC, its achievements in the past two years and also shared the planned activities for the upcoming year.
Ms. Neelum Nigar, Research Fellow, CPSC presented an overview of China-Pakistan Economic Corridor(CPEC) and highlighted the potentials of proposed CPEC projects in Gilgit Baltistan.
Later, an interactive session was held between Director, CPSC and members of the delegation. The members shared their ideas in order to speed up the work of CPEC projects in Gilgit Baltistan and numerous suggestions were put forth to address the existing issues.
While concluding, Imtiaz Sultan, Coordinator of the delegation, thanked ISSI and Director CPSC for providing the platform for journalists from Gilgit Baltistan to deliberate on various issues and hoped that such meetings will continue in future as well.
