359 army men martyred in Zarb-e-Azb operation

ISLAMABAD: The Upper House of Parliament was informed on Tuesday about operation Zabr-e-Azb as well as gains and losses made while fending off attacks on the country.

The session was presided over by Chairman Senate Mian Raza Rabbani during which it was told that 359 army personnel of different ranks embraced martyrdom fighting terrorists during operation Zarb-e-Azb. A written reply was presented by the Defence Ministry. It said that in 2013, India violated the ceasefire along Working Boundary and Line of Control (LoC) 464 times, in which 10 army personnel and six citizens were martyred, while 24 soldiers and 89 citizens were injured.
