Indian N-plant shut down after leak

NEW DELHI: India shut down its Kakrapar atomic power station in Gujarat on Friday after a leak was detected in the heat transport system, reports said.

The Indian Express said the leakage in the primary heat transport (PHT) system of the Unit-1 of the Kakrapar Atomic Power Station in Vyara of Tapi district, on Friday morning, led to panic among working staff and people staying around it. The plant was shut down at 9am, said a release from KAPS.
