NEW DELHI: Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has denied that the recent resumption of talks with India was deliberately kept secret and said it was only a precautionary measure to keep the process low key before it matured for public announcement, The Hindu reported on Monday.

Speaking to the paper on the sidelines of the groundbreaking ceremony for the Tapi gas pipeline project in Turkmenistan, Mr Sharif said the process needed “time and patience”.
