New York: Pakistan told the UN General Assembly on Wednesday that it stands ready to engage in a dialogue with India on all outstanding issues, while underscoring the urgency of settling the decades-old Kashmir dispute.

“Longstanding disputes have to be addressed boldly and decisively if enduring peace and stability is to be established,” Ambassador Maleeha Lodhi said while discussing the report of the UN secretary general on the work of the organisation. “The urgency of peacefully settling this dispute is even more compelling today,” the Pakistani envoy added.
