PESHAWAR: Though the Afghan Taliban leader Mullah Akhtar Mohammad Mansour released his audio message to deny reports that he was wounded or killed in an incident near Quetta yet he used the occasion to declare that peace talks with the Afghan government would only be held on Taliban terms and at a proper time.

Mansour spoke in Pashto for 16 minutes and repeatedly termed as an enemy propaganda the claim that he was injured and subsequently died in the incident at Kuchlak, a town in Balochistan province. “I didn’t have a fight with anyone, no meeting was held and I have not been to Kuchlak in years,” he maintained.
