Post-UN: WHAT SHOULD PAKISTAN DO?

548

On September 30, Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif presented four proposals to ease tension between Pakistan and India. These proposals are: formalisation and respect of the 2003 ceasefire understanding; reaffirmation by the two countries that they would not resort to the use or threat of use of force; steps to demilitarize Kashmir; and withdrawal of forces from Siachen. Separately, Pakistan has handed over to the Secretary General three dossiers containing evidence of Indian involvement in acts of terrorism in FATA, Baluchistan and Karachi.
