Haris Bilal Malik is a Research Associate at the China-Pakistan Study Centre (CPSC), Institute of Strategic Studies Islamabad (ISSI). He holds an M.Phil. and an M.Sc. in International Relations from the National Defence University (NDU), Islamabad. He has previously worked at prominent think tanks including the Centre for Aerospace & Security Studies (CASS) and the Strategic Vision Institute (SVI), and has served as a Lecturer in the Department of Peace and Conflict Studies at Muslim Youth University, Islamabad.

His current work focuses on research and policy analysis related to China-Pakistan relations, with particular emphasis on political, economic, and security dimensions. He also follows China’s broader foreign policy trajectory, strategic initiatives, and global engagements, especially in the context of regional stability and great power competition. His wider research interests include strategic affairs, foreign policy, regional geopolitics and emerging technologies. He has authored over 100 analytical pieces, including peer-reviewed papers, policy briefs, and commentaries published nationally and internationally.
