“Evolving situation in the Middle East and its Impact on Global Geopolitics“

The Centre for Afghanistan, Middle East and Africa (CAMEA) at the Institute of Strategic Studies Islamabad (ISSI) hosted a roundtable discussion on the Evolving Situation in the Middle East and its Impact on Global Geopolitics. The meeting was attended by Chairman ISSI, Ambassador Khalid Mahmood, Director CAMEA, Amina Khan, Ambassador Riaz Khokhar, Ambassador Asif Durrani, Ambassador Naela Chohan, Gen. Sabahat, Dr Qandeel, Dr Ishtiaq Ahmad and Brig. Mehboob Qadir. The meeting was also attended by the Directors of the Centres of Excellence at ISSI and Team CAMEA.
During the meeting, President Biden’s Middle East trip, the US versus China competition in the Middle East, chances of revival of JCPOA and implications of the changing Middle East security architecture for Pakistan were discussed.
